I love Cattle Egrets. They fly over my house at sunrise and at sunset every day this time of the year. I have photographed them nesting, feeding, displaying and, very especially, flying.
I was near a cattle farm one afternoon when I saw a nice flock flying my way, towards the setting sun.
I started making pictures.
The Egrets got closer and then turned to my right. The sun lighted them in golden hues. Suddenly they were in front of a dark storm cloud. They glowed in the setting sun and I heard the whisper of the wind on their wings.
Then the birds got out of the dark clouds into the open sky… and flew away.
I got six frames: here are four of them.
I was lucky.

Very nice set! I have had similar opportunities, but not so lucky with capturing the fly by in focus! Mine a but a memory!
