One of the reasons I had for visiting Spain was my love for the science and the beauty of symmetry. The Alhambra, Córdoba’s Cathedral and the Alcázar of Seville, full of geometrical decorations, were something I could not miss. None of them disappointed me.
This post has some of the highlights of my visit to the Alcázar of Seville. I hope you will enjoy them.
Spanish people have taken great care of their inheritance. All cities I visited are very well maintained. When to visit? I definitely recommend visiting Andalucía in the Spring. You get nice weather and the parks and gardens are at their best.
My Photoshelter website has a gallery of images of Seville containing these and many other photographs (click here to visit). My previous post (click here to see it) also has Seville photos.
If you have visited these places, or want to go, let me know!
Yo quiero ir de nuevo!!!, contigo ❤️

Love Seville… and symmetry – the latter, sometimes, to a fault. 😉

Lovely pictures, especially the cisterns – reminds me a little of Istanbul.

These pictures just make me want to go back to Sevilla for the Alcazar! I went in summer….definitely not the time to go. Is the cistern part of the ordinary admissions ticket? I didn’t see it when I went.

Hi! I’m glad you enjoyed it too! We entered from the garden, close to the Apeadero. I think we got the ordinary tickets too.

What is the most useful focal length for the fair? I’ll be at the Córdoba fair this May as well as spending 3 weeks in Sevilla, Madrid and Granada. I was thinking about taking my wide angle 10-24 and maybe getting a 16-300 for general use. Recommendations? Beautiful photos!

Hi Irene, thanks for your nice compliment! You will be on a busy sidewalk most of the time in the Fair which calls for a wide angle lens but I think the 10-24 might be a bit too wide to reach to the middle of the street or the other sidewalk. I had an 18-70 lens and it did the job but I could not isolate individual subjects. An 18-140 lens could have been better, but it all depends on your style. Check my PhotoShelter website and see what I did in Seville with the 18-70, the only lens I carried.
