Ok, they only look like some fancy chocolate candies but actually are tiny butterfly eggs. How small? The whole clutch measures 9 mm from side to side (a little over one third of an inch).

Funny thing… when I first found them on a window glass pane they looked like cinnamon rolls to my unaided eye.

I hope they do not look so appetizing to predators and I get to see the tiny caterpillars come out… they might look like stick candies!
