Last April I was very fortunate to visit Seville: It was a trip to remember.
There is a lot of color, flavor and culture to photograph in this high-adrenaline Andalusian city and Spring is just the best time of the year to visit. Continue reading Seville in Spring→
Once in a blue moon I like to do a bare-bones photo-shooting excursion: I have spent one day shooting only a wide-angle, a medium telephoto or a normal lens (in the old times a normal lens was all I had anyway)… Continue reading One camera, one lens→
I live in Costa Rica and I always wanted to see the huge seabird and seal colonies from either North or South America. When I went to Peru of course I had to visit the famous Guano Islands that were so important for harvesting bird droppings to make fertiliser and saltpetre. I don’t know if I was just too focused in this particular type of image or the weather did not help but I spent the first two hours wandering around without seeing any images. Continue reading Photographer’s block or just bad luck?→
Being a photographer slowly changes our way of watching the world until we are always seeing and making pictures in our minds. It is both a blessing and a curse as we become aware of the many images we miss when we don’t have our camera with us, or when the photograph simply doesn’t happen. Continue reading A thousand words worth a picture?→
