Street tango and antiques markets in Buenos Aires

The San Telmo neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires is the place to see how tradition meets the present in this great city. Tango is as alive as ever and the old buildings have adapted to the present as shops, markets, cafes and bars filled with local flavor.

This is a ten pictures photo essay made with my iPhone. Because they are so unobtrusive and commonplace camera phones are probably the best tools for street photography. Nowadays they are the tool I recommend for travel snapshots and only suggest high end compact cameras to dSLR owners that want to go light. Professionals and hobbyists do not need any recommendations of course!

Passing the hat. A well-deserved tip for a great show.

    1. Thanks Linda! The sodium streetlight was just the right color indeed. I use the iPhone’s Photos, the Instagram tools or my favorite: Snapseed.
For this post, as I was doing it my computer, I added some final tweaks in Photoshop.
